In it's history, Louisiana has played a football game on Thanksgiving day at least 31 times.
Home and on the road.
The home games were considered Homecoming.
Thanksgiving weekend is a big tradition for hunters going afield especially bringing kids along. Maybe it's only a small percentage of ticket buyers , but typically we depart for the marsh/woods by late Thanksgiving afternoon. For most years during 11 game seasons the season was over Saturday before Thanksgiving. I wonder if a Friday after Thanksgiving 2 pm afternoon game would draw better than a Saturday game that weekend or a wash.
