Because they are playing the saints

    Noon would work much better

Everyone is off for a reason, it’s a holiday

It would be a hell of a holiday to celebrate when we stomp ULM.

Got to admit, it would be kinda crazy, to boot.

And our “rivalry” would be cemented with them forever, how glorious..we could make it “the game that nobody saw” or the “boot scoot’n boogie” winner gets a gold plated Cornish hen

In it's history, Louisiana has played a football game on Thanksgiving day at least 31 times.

    Home and on the road.

The home games were considered Homecoming.

Thanksgiving weekend is a big tradition for hunters going afield especially bringing kids along. Maybe it's only a small percentage of ticket buyers , but typically we depart for the marsh/woods by late Thanksgiving afternoon. For most years during 11 game seasons the season was over Saturday before Thanksgiving. I wonder if a Friday after Thanksgiving 2 pm afternoon game would draw better than a Saturday game that weekend or a wash.

Thursday afternoon game would be much better to address that concern. You would just get to the camp late Thursday but would still have the three day weekend for marsh/woods/fishing.
