Thread: Brennan Breaux

  1. UL Baseball Brennan Breaux

Pitching. Brennan Breaux will be used from the left side. He was reaching 90 his senior year in high school and was just not needed at LSU.

Outfield. Breaux is the best defensive outfielder on the team with a plus arm. We gave away a couple games this year by misplayed balls in right field. I believe having Breaux in the outfield will give us a chance to move that needle in the opposite direction.

I believe Breaux will be a much better bat here than at LSU. I see him as a 275 to 300 hitter next year. He was always one bad at bat away from not having another there. He did very well both falls at LSU but freshman year they went with Duplantis and Duplantis was on fire and kept the position. His sophomore year they went with beau Jordan and he produced enough to retain the position. He just had hard breaks and they continued to break against him. You can't play baseball and succeed in that atmosphere.

  3. UL Baseball He did it at STM; now UL's Brennan Breaux may pitch too

He was a Perfect Game and Louisville Slugger All-American at St. Thomas More High, where he also was a quarterback.

He spent two seasons LSU, then left one nationally ranked college baseball program for what is now another, No. 24 UL.

He played in the 2017 College World Series for the Tigers, and started in centerfield in 2019 for the sub-.500 Ragin’ Cajuns.

Brennan Breaux has experience, and plenty of it.
