I would have no problem with that but many would think it might be too late in the season, more chance of cold weather, loss of interest if poor season practically over, etc.

Not since 2012 against Tulane was homecoming before October 31.

2017 homecoming was November 18 against the same NMSU team.

You don't schedule for homecoming a team that will be a favorite over you, much less one that is expected to be substantial favorite over you, you just don't.

By a substantial favorite I mean anything over 7 points.

Now I will wait the response of the person taking shots at the administration because he thinks their google does not work or they do not know how to use their google.

I understand your thinking here but in my opinion, this year, with our season ticket sales still in the dumpster I would have opted to not schedule against the festival....jmo

Remember though, P5 schools are really the only ones who schedule teams “below” them (G5 or FCS) for homecoming. Most G5 schools schedule conference games or FCS teams as their homecoming game due to really having no other choice. I would’ve been either fine with Arkansas State on 10/27 or Georgia State on 11/10. Either way, it would’ve been a win/win for everyone.

For the record, I believe several factors other then the festival were more responsible for the low turnout - loss to CC sandwiched between two beat downs - LSU/Ga - deer season open - nice fishing weekend . . .
