I agree but another issue is that the atmosphere is terrible. In the last 6ish years the atmosphere has gone way down. There is zero excitement in the stadium and some of that is do to product but a lot of it is the fan base. We have a bunch of fans who would prefer to sit with their hands in their pockets...unless you stand in front of them while you are cheering, that's when you get asked to sit because they can't see.

This dead atmosphere is what causes a lot of people not to come back a 2nd time. Again winning will help but we need to up the atmosphere. Get the wine and cheese crowd to get excited and cheer.

I can't believe that some (or many) of you think that there should be some huge increase in attendance at this point. The product (UL football) to the average common fan, is the same as it has been. Until there is a consistent upward trajectory in the program, and until this team can start winning meaningful games, against good programs, then why expect anything more. The common fan is not interested in losing football. Just the way it is. It was a good win today, but it did not, repeat, did not raise the status of this program, so don't expect it. Napier has it going in the right direction, it's just going to take time to build up some excitement around a struggling program, and that is what it is at this point.

Still don’t understand why they never do a rolling cash give away like basketball...when that pot in b-ball gets to $1k...there are butts in the seats!!!

Have a contest among the fraternities and sororities. The ones (one for each) with the largest attendance get a chance for a free scholarship. Each student gets one chance for every game they attend. But, only the students in the winning frat and sorority get a chance in the raffle.
This would increase incentive for each to compete for the highest attendance.

I know. Just yanking his chain since he was advocating purging cajunfans who do not measure up. I watched the whole game and was very impressed with the offense. I know NMST is bad, but you still have to execute. The Cajuns were as good on offense as I have ever seen them.
