Bleep you to! It’s not my fault Lafayette people don’t support their local program. Maybe your dream of purging fans is coming to fruition.

The apathy from the Hud years still looms over our program, BUT today was a step in the right direction. The way we moved the ball was one that I remember back in 2011-2012. We were unstoppable, and it was entertaining. The last few years have been hard to watch.

Hopefully, we can move this momentum into the brunt of our conference and build on what we did today. That, alone, should drive more fans to the game.

Also, and it pains me to say it, but the team to the east of us hosted the #2 team in the nation. The very same team that came within a play of winning the national championship last year and beat them by 20. Our last home game was a loss to Coastal Carolina AKA a FCS “move-up.” We have to continue to play like we did today to get our fans back, and we have to do it more often.

I’m not one to complain about the crowds, but you people suck.

Shame on every one of you that didn’t show up.
As I said in a previous post. People blame the students but right now the entire fanbase sucks. There are lot of reasons why people dont show up but the community just doesn't support the program. Its pathetic.

Yeah, I was shocked at how lack of attendance. Looks like Dr. Maggard is doing everything possible and the Cajuns football team was pretty fun to watch.

This one was on us as fans

Poor planning/scheduling putting your biggest drawing game same weekend as a festival. Would Have been there but my employer had other plans.

Who lsu plays should NEVER factor into our homecoming crowd, period. In fact, it’s even more indicative of the kind of feckless people that live and graduated around this city from this university. Spineless ___king losers that can’t get behind a cause.

I wonder if UCF crowds wonder who Miami is playing?

Another awful excuse. That festival pulls a few thousand and most of that is out of town folks.

It shouldn’t, but unfortunately, it does. You’d be surprised by the number of people on my social media news feeds from this area that made the hour trip to the east instead of staying in town to watch our game.

But the fact of the matter is that it’s a microcosm of where this community’s priorities are. On the other hand, we can get them back if we continue to play like we did today. The harsh reality is that our football team in the past three years has been brutal to watch. And I’ve been to every home game in that span. And yes, 18k for homecoming is absurd. And it’s unacceptable. BUT we have to start winning more consistently.
