Didn't say current duo is better, yet. I think when you throw in Calais, this is the best RB group ever.

It ain't rocket surgery, get creative and get to work on social media. Avoid the "cutesy" promotions, they never work and only look cheap and dumb. NO ONE is going to show up to for a free fry or drink promotion. And to some extent, this situation DOES involve the game day atmosphere and in stadium experience, which has been enough of a sore point that it makes its way on to the after game surveys, but changes never occur. And since it is homecoming, Napier should say something about not just student attendance, but address the "casual" fan out there...
Still don’t understand why they never do a rolling cash give away like basketball...when that pot in b-ball gets to $1k...there are butts in the seats!!!

That's what I said earlier. Napier, like Saban, should be the one to say something. Coming from the coaches mouth will carry more water than what we might say. Napier should go on campus and address the students and get answers from them. Find out why they don't attend and work from there. The regular fan base is another issue that the administration should address. I don't read about any promotion being done in this area.....

You say winning will bring the fan base to the games. How much does a large crowd help a home team's performance? A catch 22 here.....

15,009 The Festival People will bring us over the 15,000 mark.

A relevant football team, on the national scene, involved with the CFB national coverage, creates its own urgency. It creates its own buildup. Promotions and excitement, coupled with environment and WINNING on a national level, will have those “people who are paid money to figure this out” having to turn folks away at the gate. Hudspeth was on the brink. If he beats Florida that Saturday, then proceeds to have the same remaining season, and maybe avoids the let down, this town would have exploded for Cajun football.

Cincinnati is a 6-0, AAC, top 25 team. Not a great comparison.

Given the fact that no Sun Belt team ever has great attendance I’d say it is harder than rocket surgery.

Is that a cross between "rocket science" and "brain surgery?"

A whole lot of very smart specialists will be needed to tackle this.

    Yep.

We have a 20k base attendance all things being equal. We also have a 20k reserve attendance that are triggered to jump on the bandwagon at various levels up until we have 40k attendance.

This is exactly my point. Well said

Bring Boise to town and win. Go beat a Kentucky or Ole Miss on the road, and then come home and dominate the conference. Do something special on national TV when the whole country is watching. That’s our problem.
I agree but another issue is that the atmosphere is terrible. In the last 6ish years the atmosphere has gone way down. There is zero excitement in the stadium and some of that is do to product but a lot of it is the fan base. We have a bunch of fans who would prefer to sit with their hands in their pockets...unless you stand in front of them while you are cheering, that's when you get asked to sit because they can't see.

This dead atmosphere is what causes a lot of people not to come back a 2nd time. Again winning will help but we need to up the atmosphere. Get the wine and cheese crowd to get excited and cheer.

That was my point, a winning team, regardless of the opponent is going to draw...i think Cincinnati is more of a peer than say Bama or MSU...
