I would take 30,000 fans every game even if most of them were crop dusting at the same time

I was just scrolling through Facebook and I saw more of my UL fraternity brothers in pics at the Georgia game than I saw around Cajun field on Saturday. No doubt LSU having the 2nd biggest game of the year for them hurt the Cajun attendance.

I was pulling for Alabama. My neighbor's wife couldn't go with him, so he asked me if I wanted to go. Other than it being Alabama, I wouldn't have wasted my time, but I must admit, watching LSU lose in person was quite enjoyable.

I agree the teams in the conference do not have regional appeal. However the results on the field indicate it is on top of CUSA and the MAC this season.

However that isn't the perception nor do our fans care. Let's see....a home schedule with teams like FAU, UAB, La Tech, USM, Rice and WKU or a home schedule with App St., Georgia St., Georgia Southern, ULM....etc...we allowed ourselves to live in this crap sandwich and you know the best part? We haven't even competed for the championship the last few years....

No argument our current conference does not attract interest. Competing for title is the minimum needed for people to show up. That is likely not enough. We need to win it regularly. Of course that is difficult considering some of the actual teams are pretty good regardless of perception. Being difficult is no reason to back down from a challenge and I think our leaders plan to take the challenge head on.
