I know that, but it’s not what I asked.
Tried to get a few people to pitch in to cover the entire cost which actually would’ve been less than an individual tickets but they were too cheap.
So I was gonna buy It just to have the extra three tickets on hand but my wife wouldn’t go for it. Maybe next year
My question is what should the ticket cost be? Should be $10 a game, should be $15 game, should be $20 a game?
And how much parking be? Should people be able to pull right up to Cajun Field and park for free?
What should the cost be so that we could get back to the good old days when Jake and B Mitchell were selling out Cajun Field?
As far as No. 3 is concerned, there were events throughout the summer in surrounding communities. There are no people assigned to increasing support in those areas.
As far as scheduling is concerned, many of those teams have refused to play us. Going forward that will improve as Rice is on the schedule and I would not be surprised if USM returns to schedule soon. As far as game time goes, TV sets those 10 days in advance so it is hard to play around.
I do think we need to do more to consider folks who have financial issues. The McDonald's family fun pack is something more could take advantage of.
I think you're right. We missed the peak that was created when Hud first brought excitement back to the program. And in reality, had UL had the funding to go faster with the Master Plan vision for Cajun Field, it would have been disastrous. Personally, I don't know what to do next with Cajun Field and when. I can't disagree that seating expansion is now a joke, but besides a press box/suite investment (that has little to nothing to do with attracting fans) I don't know what amenities and features can feasibly be added to Cajun Field. I'm not talking about ideas. I'm talking about the practicality of engineering it into the old structure.
I'm massively opposed to yelling at "the fans". It's stupid in 40 different ways... but at the first rudimentary level... it's counterproductive. People have a broad assortment of reasons for going or not going to UL football games. Personally, I see only one way to restore attendance. The program has to elevate to a level that the program has never seen. You can talk about the fans until you're blue in the face... but we could not afford what happened with the ACT scandal on top of a hit to the Acadiana economy. Hud hit his peak in year one. Not using the juice gained from that first year to pack on some additional fan excitement, then having the cheating and NCAA hits, the recruiting slam that followed, cannot be brushed aside. We're in a slump. There's only one way to climb back up... and it doesn't include yelling at the fans.
upper deck needs to be torn down
Just saw the number. Really disappointing to say the least. Homecoming and absolutely perfect weather. The visitor side of the field and student section were pretty empty.
Just curious. For those of you who complain about scheduling would you be willing to consider a graduated ticket purchasing plan?
For example, New Mexico State are an FCS team would be $10-$15.
A G5 team would be $20-$25.
Lower level P5 team would be $50 and a higher level P5 team would be seventy five to hundred dollars.
These would be baseline prices and a premium would be added if say we were undefeated
I thought the students did their part. I sit on that side now the rest of the visitors side was bad. The problem for me is as I look across at all these premium seat being empty. Why do people buy those if they wont even attend homecoming. Give the seat away if you don't want to lose your seat. I know 200 Veterans that would love to sit in those seats or sell them do something just don't leave them empty.
