We will have those eight guys four more years and you have to believe they will be much improved next season.
You can play 5 years now?

They would probably give you a $5 rebate and change it anyhow.

I can tell you guys it not his decision anymore than it was Luke Johnson's when it comes to editing our name. I know, because I sat next to the guy a number of times during press conferences and at UL sport events. I don't know how many times people need to be told it, but it get's pretty old reading someone else post about it multiple times every damn month.

Yeah! Nothing like giving your boss the finger publicly to insure job security.

The opposite of love is not hate, it is indifference. I find that once people realize that I don't care what they call us, they soon quit with the "at Lafayette" business. If they can't get me riled up about it, it's no longer any fun for them and they simply stop it.

Now I see your logic in saying conference movement is dead.

    Brilliant.

I won't let Dan off the hook.

However, I have written articles for sports pages. My name appears. Most of my words appear. But I really have little control over what's actually published - and no control over the title.

    Pretty sure that's consistent.

This. When somebody says ULL or UL-Lafayette in conversation, I just keep conversing as if I didn't hear it - and sprinkle "Louisiana" into the appropriate places when referring to our team on purpose.

Almost everyone now calls us UL or Louisiana when we talk now, without a sermon from me about it.

so if it happens over and over and he does nothing, i think then he has an idea it might happen the next time... so if he does nothing and continues to submit the articles knowing that, then yes it is on him.

The Advocate will never allow us to be called Louisiana. It is what it is.
then that is his choice. so he cant hide behind saying its not him. the economy is booming narionwide, plenty of other jobs out there. might be worse in my view if it is for money(how do you define sell out?)
