How can anyone not believe in Napier?
I think we are lucky to have him as our coach.
He does seem to have the attention of every player when he speaks to him and I have no doubt they hear his message. Interesting to hear him say the technical part is what is missing. Only way to get that right is by continued practice. Of course it is a little harder when you are not quite as talented as some of your opponents. We are all tired of being asked to be patient. Some have said they can't wait a couple of more years due to all we have been through and I get that. However, maybe if we stay the course with these guys that when this turns around it stays that way for the long haul.
On the radio show last week, Jacques Boudreaux said under Hudspeth there was sometimes a grey area between right and wrong. Under Napier, he said, you know the difference. Always.
That much enthusiasm the evening after getting your heads caved in by Alabama, tells me well have success here...some of it soon, some of it later...
I love the inside Louisiana football show as a whole. Just wish I didn't have to see tennis and anti hazing stories during the show. Would rather more break down of the football game with coach talking about specific plays.
Time will tell. Many were saying the same thing about Hudspeth in his first year. Napier has managed to live up to most of our expectations so far (except for that home loss to Coastal Carolina), but I'm not ready to anoint him as the second coming yet. Been there. Done that.
