Thread: Napier humbled to compete against mentor Nick Saban

  1. UL Football Napier humbled to compete against mentor Nick Saban

He is the student about to square off with his guru, the one who quotes the famed Alabama coach for whom he used to work and goes about his new job with a blueprint borrowed from the architect.

He is Billy Napier, and he toiled for four seasons as an assistant under Nick Saban in Tuscaloosa — five if the season he spent there as an analyst is counted.

____es me off that the Advertiser uses ULL in the top of the screen title.

It will most certainly be a humbling experience. Alabama would embarrass 96% of D1 teams and very well may win another National Championship, so let’s not get too down if it’s really bad.

Hopefully, I forget it's am 11 am kickoff and check the score many hours later

I want players and coaches that expect to win every time out. I don’t care what the circumstances or who the opponent might be.

Billy needs to punch that little runt in the mouth. That would be a good start. He really needs to follow Damon Mason's lead.

BTW, I'm a Saban fan, but not this week.

Nothing but respect for Saban and his program.
However, I want people in our locker room that expect to win. At the end of the day, it’s still 4 quarters on a football field. Anything can happen.

Aren’t many Damon Masons left in this day and age, unfortunately.
