It won’t affect me either way because I can’t justify to cost of Cajun Dome concessions, unless I get caught up with the wants of the grandkids! 😂
If only there was a big open space on the other side of the dome where we could put another one.

I would buy at least 3 $7 beers a game, but on principle I won't buy 1 $11 beer. I don't see how they wouldn't make more money by lowering the prices.

Almost every enhancement move they make appears to be angled towards benefitting those making donations and thereby increasing the donation level of the casual fan.

I say almost because there have been some enhancements implemented in an attempt to lure more student participation.

The higher the donation level, the better the benefits.

It's definitely an organized plan to encourage increased donations.

We will see in time whether they are successful at increasing the donation level of the casual fan or whether they run off the casual fan.

PRODUCT ON THE FIELD, COURT OR DIAMOND WILL PROBABLY A BIG FACTOR ON THE SUCCESS OR FAILURE OF THAT PHILOSOPHY.
I agree they are giving more benefits to those making donations. Here is an example. Friend of mine who made a nice contribution to the basketball suits project was invited to the AD suite for last weekend's football game. Belief is increased donations will ultimately payoff in providing better products on the field, court, and diamonds.

I agree with your post, specifically the last sentence in BOLD. At some point we all are going to have to make a decision on investing more money towards RCAF, Seats, Parking and Tailgating. For those that are already giving at a high level, this will not be a problem. For many others including myself, it will come down to the product on the fields and courts.

Ditto... Hence my comment earlier about going back to my car at halftime. It's mostly the principle of the thing for me

If I only went to 1 game every once in a while I wouldn't care, but going to all home games (which should be important to the admin) I'm not blowing that much on concessions

We’re all at different points in our lives.
I’ve been fortunate to have some “disposable” income, and because of my life long connections to this program, and my belief in the AD we’ve hired, I’m going to give and pay and show up. Not blindly, not stupidly, but as a person who still believes we are the sleeping giant that we’ve all, at one point, believes we were.

I will not always feel that way. I have good friends and Cajun fans that once felt and gave the way I do now. There is an expiration date on hope, and I know, if major changes aren’t made around here, my date will come.

I hope my loyalty and commitment will pay off. If it doesn’t, this is the “business we’ve chosen”. I may be bitter at the end, but I’ll know I did my part to uplift the university and the community.

Why couldnt they keep the bar for the casual fan, and do something like waiters delivering food and drinks to the premium seating?

Wonder that myself. Send an email to the administrators with that suggestion and they may mull it over.

"They" rarely get it right. Kind of like our gov't.

This is because perhaps the question is an either/or scenario. I've talked about this at length and perhaps with you but I will mention it again. Building a program is not done through a one year stint in the NCAA tournament. It's not. If it was, we would be a lot farther along in our journey right now. Sure, it might make you some money in that given year but how many teams do you see make it once or twice but sink right back into their anonymity?

Building a program should be focused on and that is done through regular conference titles, at least initially. Why? Because to do that you have to have a framed consistency in your season that means you are doing something right. Consistency is what builds programs and champions. The problem is with your quote, this does NOT have to be an either/or scenario. Its either go to the tournament or win conference and NIT? I've seen a number of teams win their conference and go to the big dance as well and guess what, those teams are more prepared for that tournament by grinding out every game and every week in their conference. The minute our focus is on 3 days in March, which is a joke, is the minute I will not give one damned more dollar to the university.
