Agree. I’m still in a bad mood after the football game.

To be fair, I’m probably making a bigger deal out of this than it is. I just feel like it is another straw on the camels back.

I get that. Aside from my opinion, I understand why people are thinking this. But we’re losing sight of the biggest issue. The straw that broke the camel’s back is being irrelevant in an awful basketball league for 20 years.

I’m not sure why they can’t do both. The court side location can be available as proposed and they could keep the previous location open as well for the more casual fan.

It won’t affect me either way because I can’t justify to cost of Cajun Dome concessions, unless I get caught up with the wants of the grandkids! 😂

One thing I will agree with CReb and plenty of others is that the food and drink prices are absolutely outrageous. I used to buy several dome foams a game. Probably spent more in college on beer than I do now at Cajun games. But on principle, I will not buy more than 1 now. $11-12 for a damn beer is laughable.

Administration is well aware of the concession prices concern. Coaches don't like it one bit either. One assistant told me he makes a point to discourage his family from buying much there when they are at games due to cost. I am not sure they can do much about it due to contract between the Dome and vendors. I usually make a couple of Pelicans games a year and may do more this season. It is my opinion that concessions at the SKC are more reasonably priced than at the CajunDome.

If only there was a big open space on the other side of the dome where we could put another one.

I would buy at least 3 $7 beers a game, but on principle I won't buy 1 $11 beer. I don't see how they wouldn't make more money by lowering the prices.

Almost every enhancement move they make appears to be angled towards benefitting those making donations and thereby increasing the donation level of the casual fan.

I say almost because there have been some enhancements implemented in an attempt to lure more student participation.

The higher the donation level, the better the benefits.

It's definitely an organized plan to encourage increased donations.

We will see in time whether they are successful at increasing the donation level of the casual fan or whether they run off the casual fan.

PRODUCT ON THE FIELD, COURT OR DIAMOND WILL PROBABLY A BIG FACTOR ON THE SUCCESS OR FAILURE OF THAT PHILOSOPHY.
I agree they are giving more benefits to those making donations. Here is an example. Friend of mine who made a nice contribution to the basketball suits project was invited to the AD suite for last weekend's football game. Belief is increased donations will ultimately payoff in providing better products on the field, court, and diamonds.
