Thread: Why didn’t you go to LA Football game on Sat?

One thing to remember about the Red Zone is aside from moving it, we've also limited the escort tickets to one. There were a lot of people who were getting escort tickets in years past from students; parents, family members, and recent graduates were often seen in the Red Zone. Changes were made and as you can see the Red Zone has been shrinking.

Growing revenue, is necessary to grow athletics. However, smart growth principles must be in play. I think we have over estimated the demand for seats inside of Cajun Field and should reevaluate at the conclusion of this season. Furthermore, there is unused parking inside of Cajun Field. Why not make better use of this space? Finally, we must consider the cost of change today and how it impacts growing the fan base.

I agree the music and atmosphere sure sounded differently this game compared to the first game. Wonder why they changed it so much compared to the first time around? Oh and kill that new 3rd down hype video, it got old quick.

    Four Letters...RCAF

Has taken the 'fun' out of going to games.
Not going to pay to park down the street at Blackham when there are PLENTY of open slots available inside the Cajun Field fences.
Not going to pay for season tickets to two sports plus make a donation to be able to park inside stadium.
Too easy to watch the game on my 70" screen at home.

Not to mention as others have stated: Thought the RCAF was suppose to stop the embarrassment of football players while playing a money game.

I really don't care if the team won or lost. Sorry folks, I've always had a life. But it was fun to meet friends and family at the game, rain or shine. Now its nothing but a hassle. I guess i should say thanks to the minds that came up with trying to keep up with the jones 45 miles away. You have successfully pushed away the students and fans. But look, we have such fantastic buildings and facilities we can be proud of. I think i'll just keep on watching on ESPN.

I agree with all that the administration is doing, but in my opinion it's being implemented too quickly. kind of hard to sell without wins!

I agree that things are moving rather quickly...however I think that’s a telling sign to just how far behind we are to our peers...just like Pasbon still is, we were operating like it was still 1983 before Maggard arrived...

Fans that think they should be able to park inside the stadium should keep their azzes at home.

    LOL...we will.

Oh, i forgot to add...i may be behind the times, but there sure were many more 'fans' at the games with basically the same level of won-losses as today without the money grab.

From what I understand the Atlanta Falcons have decided to rethink their concession prices and roll them back. The result has been higher revenue and more purchases; that concept should be considered at Cajun Field and without question at the Cajundome.

As mentioned, all college programs and even professional organizations are having issues with attendance. The world is evolving for better or worse.

Falcons, ravens, lions, orioles, hawks, Texas Longhorns and Mississippi State all did and it’s working.
