Let me simplify this. A lot of people in Acadiana like to camp outdoors. For those of you that did not camp this weekend, what were the reasons? top 3 answers : thunder, lightning, and rain. Its one thing to get caught in a shower, its another to be in it when you are almost certain it will happen.
According to wikipedia our last highest attended game was in 2016:
26,891 vs. McNeese State Cowboys (09/10/16).
If you look a the top 20 highest attended.. there are some years scattered.. but most of them are in the last 10 years (12 outta 20). Of course Texas A&M and Alabama are on the list, but for the most part it looks like conference mates. Maybe.. just maybe if the play on the field gets better we can get back to 25,000 fans?

Game2 for 2nd home game.
Took the survey. A little of what I had to say....
20 year season ticket holder and tailgater. Spend thousands of dollars every year supporting Louisiana football. I do this because I love my Alma Mater and college football. I don't do this to go to Hip Hop concerts and watch dance parties on the sidelines while we're getting embarrassed on the field.
Been going to UL games since 1965. Been season ticket holder since 1970. Of the 53 years of attending UL football I would say 10 years was very positive. The rest of these was wishing and hoping.
I normally roll my eyes at the old people who complain about the hippity hop music...
... but in this case I kinda agree. We have a 200 piece college football band sitting in our stadium and they barely get to play. This is COLLEGE football. That band should be playing music, not a PA system. They can even play hippity hop.
