UA- I don't wanna know
UL- some points
There is no fix for that. We may be in the same classification as Alabama, but our resources are much closer to those of FCS programs than they are to those of P5 programs.
We're simply wannabe's that are destined to a lifetime of frustration when it comes to our position in the world of college football. We can, though, take heart in the fact that we've got lots of company, as in every fan of every other program in a G5 conference.
25% OF 80 million is 20 million or a 60 million difference. 25% of 20 million is 5 million or a 15 million difference. I would say the average FCS is closer to us than we a closer to Alabama (and for that matter most of the P5). You can play with percentage all you want it's the absolute that is the reality. The reality is, it hard for us to compete against the big money schools because of the money difference and the image projected by the big media outlets (and the money generated by that image projected by the media). Why do you think ESPN CONTINUALLY adds the extra L and puts up the wrong logo? Because they see us as a little school from Louisiana that needs to stay in its place. It is a bias on their part because in their eyes if we are not from the north east or the west coast we not only don't exist we don't deserve to exist.
Solozzo thought he was acting like a man when he tried to wack Vito. Michael put a bullet through his head. He put a bullet in Mc Cluskey's head too for breaking his jaw. Tessio was acting like a man too but it didn't save him from getting wacked either (I found it funny Tessio (Abe Vagoda - Fish asked Tom to "Let him off the hook for old time sake). In either case you can act like a man all you want but in the end you still may get wacked. Because, after all, "it's nothing personal, it's strictly business".
For those going.....lived in B'ham for 3 years and was blessed with many awesome BBQ memories. My favorite places were
1) Ken's BBQ in Pinson (a couple miles NE of Bham). The smoked butts were phenominal.
2) Dreamland, Tuscaloosa. Ribs, beer and white bread....if you vary from this you are a fool. I was blessed to be their often in late 80's and sit with the ole man that started Dreamland before he passed away. I'd shoot some BS with him while he mopped his ribs and smoked his pipe.
Can you imagine being an LaSU fan? Oh the dilemma they must be having.....which university do I despise most.....they must be miserable right now.
