UL Football Miss. St vs UL, Aug 31st, 2019, New Orleans

What hotel will be the host for the Ragin Cajuns? Or does anyone have suggestions?

    Thanks,
    CS08

Game is same weekend as Labor Day, which is also Southern Decadence festival and VERY expensive hotels. Just an FYI. I have a room booked at Drury right now that I can cancel if I want. Looking for others already. I suggest the #RaginRoadies of #CajunNation do the same as prices will likely only go up.

I was thinking of taking my kids to this game. Expensive uber (don't drive) and decadence weekend's going to make that trigger tougher to pull.

Unless you are in or around the FQ, you will probably not even know Southern Decadence is in town. There are a ton of hotels around the Dome. Unfortunately they are usually pricey on the weekends. Holiday Inn and Drury are probably the most reasonably priced.

Yeah, I did a quick look at the Hyatt, but all I could find was pre-paid rooms....and I am not that big a fan of them anyway. I was able to get one at the Le Pavilion for ~$225 per night. Excellent hotel, an easy walk from the dome, and not too far from the FQ or riverfront.

More than likley staying at an Airbnb in uptown and just taking the trolly to the dome easy and cheap.

Yeah, thought about that and do it all the time....but this will have to be a one-nighter, so it is easier to just treat ourselves to a hotel.

Well seeing as it’s not named the “Louisiana Superdome” any longer, no. But i get your point.

I am super excited about this game. I usually have to split my Labor Day weekend between Southern Decadence in New Orleans and Cajun football in Lafayette. Now, I get to enjoy both in the same city! Geaux UL!

Your best bet is try to stay within walking distance of the Dome. I'd start looking now if I were you. And, as someone said, unless you go to the FQ, you won't notice Southern Decadence.

So.... will all of bourbon street be like the part where you go too far and turn around? Asking for myself

Something tells me there will be a huge culture clash with the Mississippi state fans if so
