    An unrestrained Church Point teenager was killed and two young men injured when their vehicle hit another on I-10 near Rayne, left the road and crashed into a large tree.

  2. Default Second Victim Dies After Wednesday's Accident On I-10


    Yesterday, troopers learned that one of the passengers in Brennen Sonnier's vehicle succumbed to injuries he sustained in the February 23 crash on I-10.

    Seventeen year old Aaron Richard of Branch was pronounced dead at 3:15 p.m. yesterday by a physician at Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital.

    Killed in the crash was eighteen year old Benjamin Guidry of Church Point. Guidry was killed when the vehicle he was traveling in crossed the eastbound lanes, traveled through the median, proceeded across the westbound lanes and struck a large tree. Guidry was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Acadia Parish Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.

  3. Default Two Acadia Parish teens killed in I-10 accident


    A two-vehicle accident on Interstate 10 just west of Rayne took the life of two teen-agers on Tuesday afternoon.
    Killed in the crash were 18-year-old Benjamin Guidry of Church Point. Guidry was killed when the vehicle he was traveling in crossed the eastbound lanes, traveled through the median, proceeded across the westbound lanes and struck a large tree. Guidry was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash. The Acadia Parish Coroner pronounced him dead at the scene.
    A second Acadia Parish youth has died from injuries received in the I-10 accident on Tuesday.

  4. Default Rayne - Second I-10 crash victim dies Wednesday afternoon



    On Wednesday, Feb. 24, a second teenage succumb to his injuries suffered in a two-vehicle crash on I-10 near milepost 85 a day earlier.

    Aaron Richard, 17, of Branch died at 3:15 p.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Regional Medical Center, where he was airlifted by Air Med and listed in critical condition.

    On Tuesday, Feb. 23, Louisiana State Police Troop I investigated a two vehicle crash on I-10 near milepost 85 that claimed the life of a Church Point man.
