Again, none of us know how good ccu will be. None of us know how we will finish this season. We beat an FCS, we lost to an SEC and lost by 2 to a conference team that runs an option offense..but by all means run for cover for the sky is falling.
Yes, everyone said the same thing about App. State not remembering that they had defeated FBS programs before moving up. Coastal may have won an FCS national championship a few years ago, but they didn't have wins against many FBS programs. UL and Ark State are the only programs in the SBC today that didn't move up from the FCS before joining the SBC. It's very demoralizing to realize the UL is still at the bottom of the SBC and playing against former FCS programs since 2000. It you don't understand our current situation and the fact that we aren't close to where we need be considered for better G5 conference, there is nothing anyone will say that snaps you back to reality. By all means...celebrate close loses to former FCS national champions, I'm sure you are looking forward to playing McNeese in conference again.

Who is celebrating close losses? I think im one of the few here that understands our current situation and that we aren’t close to being good. Y’all seem to be the ones that don’t understand that. We are historically terrible football program and that wasn’t gonna change in 9 months and 3 games in. As usual if somebody disagrees with you, you automatically attack their opinion. We aren’t good and i never said different and that was the case before this season even started. Winning last night wouldn’t have changed that either. Pretty sure i was the only person who predicted a loss to coastal on the prediction thread.

Actually, Coastal Carolina has never won a FCS National Championship

I don't care about prediction threads, never read them. But let me get this straight, because you thought we sucked before the season, everyone else should just accept it and not complain? Got it, you're a genius!

Some are born genius. Others get the title by proculation, self proculation that is. 🤔

That’s right, you nailed it. Just because i understand where we are doesn’t mean I accept it. We aren’t a good football team and i don’t coach so certainly nothing in my control to change it...but if talking ___ about a bunch of guys giving their all makes you feel like a bigger man go right ahead. Those kids accepted the opportunity provided to them, it’s not their fault collectively they aren’t good enough yet. Nothing built to last is built quickly. You sound like a spoiled child when they don’t get what they want. Almost all the G5’s we want to be like struggled in the beginning before they got there. Our past failures has nothing to do with Napier either.

The question is how much are we paying a guy to “learn on the job” and could that salary have paid for someone who has learned on someone else’s dime during a previous job.

Napier’s salary doesn’t tell me UL was looking for someone who would have to learn on the fly.

Maybe those guys didn’t want the job.

Unbelievable that Dr. M and Dr S didn't think of that. 🤔
