Just like that afternoon on April 9, 2017.
Ms state beat lsu by 30 last year and are expected to be better this year. They are not a top 25, more like a top 10 sec team. CCU isn't anything like what we played last week. They will run it to burn clock and keep our scoring down. If they get 1 dimensional, I like our coaches ability to gameplan. Not based on what we've seen so far, but on their credentials.
I feel good about this game: Here’s what’s going to happen:
* the best SB running back Corp in SB will gain over 200 yards rushing
* the OL which protected QB pretty good against an SEC top 16 team, will provide Nunez enough time to keep him comfy in pocket and connect with some excellent receivers. 3 TD passes and over 300 yds
* Manak gets 3 of the 5 sacks
* defense holds coastal under 100 yds rushing
* pass defense gives up a lot of yards and bends but doesn’t break. My 35 points for cc may be a bit high.
I’m feeling real good about our chances Saturday and can’t wait to go to the game.
I think we may follow a similar gameplan; looking to control clock through running and our short to intermediate passing game. I believe we have more talent than Coastal at the skill positions, and our OL play seems much improved over last season. 70% completions against Coastal will yield much better results than it did against MsSt, and Ragas and Mitchell will be much more effective on the ground as well. No first round draft guys up front this week to stuff our run game.
