With 26 seniors on the other side of the ball equaling 1/3 of your entire scholarship lineup, the outcome was not surprising.

When you can only sign 25 in any given year, having 26 seniors is sort of a feat. Their experience level will be dramatically different next year. Should be interesting.

In preparing for the Cajuns, Mississippi State had an individual in Hud that knew LA player tendencies better (perhaps) than even the current Louisiana staff, up to a point.

Hud may be the TE coach there, but at least for Saturday, he was their game coordinator.

UL may never have to face those disadvantages again, a mere 2 games into the season. A year from now their advantage weakens dramatically.

I'm not nearly as disappointed in the loss as I was Saturday.
Really ???? LMAO. So Hud and all his brilliance was the reason we lost by 6 touchdowns ?? C'mon man. You can do a lot better than that.

No for real, without HUD that nationally ranked SEC team would have struggled to put together a game plan against us.

Don't bury the lead, 26 seniors.

That fact is not sensational so it appears that you get ZERO credit for it from this board.

Maybe because he followed it up with absurdity.

You don't think Hud still knows UL player tendencies and that 26 seniors are capable of absorbing his tidbits of information, and that next time these teams meet those advantages will be gone?

You and I have that in common, Metry. By the way, give me a call when you get a chance.

WTH does 26 seniors have to do with a damn thing ? This isn't high school. Who cares how many seniors are on a D1 college football team. And NO, Hud doesn't have a clue about tendencies with his "ex" players under a whole new coaching staff, That's just absurd. You need a hell of a lot more than this stuff you keep talking about to make up for 6 touchdowns.

So I guess that since Napier worked under Saban in 2011 and again from 2013-2016, he'll know all of Alabama's "tendencies" and we'll have a better chance of beating a national power. Dream on. I've read a lot of stupid S%&T on this board the last few months but this wins the award. Congrats.

How can anything said with such conviction and certainty be so wrong. Even in the pros, it generally makes a difference, especially in the offensivle line, whether a person is a rookie or a veteran... Not always, but usually.

It was also clearly stated that Hud's knowledge of the Cajuns would be greatly reduced by the second year... so, no, the fact that Napier was at Alabama as a position coach, and not head coach, two years will not be very informative.

Vince Lombardi once said: "People who work together will win"

    That only comes with experience.

Up to 100 years of working together gives 26 seniors a clear advantage.
