Where do Moo state and Starkville people get this sense of superiority? It’s Mississippi. Enough said.

Sadly, clowns like this write this hot garbage and think they're doing something worthwhile.

None of his regular readers have been out of Mississippi enough to argue with him.

Here is a summary for those who do themselves a favor and NOT read this "article":

    - I am a TERRIBLE writer
    - I have no actual direct knowledge of Lafayette or the school
    - I heard some stories and stuff about the city
    - I did a 10 minute Google search about Lafayette
    - I am in Starksville so it's hard to find downward social comparisons that I desperately need for my sanity
    - And in conclusion, Lafayette sucks

You do us a disservice, sir. You made him sound much more coherent, logical, and literate than he really is.

I live in central Mississippi and travel through that area frequently. I just left a comment about my experience in Starkville, or rather going through it, in the comments of this article. There is absolutely nothing to do in Starkville, unless is it related to the school, or Starkville High School. It’s just a little town. My son went to their campus, after getting a really high ACT score, and wasn’t impressed. He chose Louisiana.

And there is absolutely nothing whatsoever at all in Starkville but the university.

I spent a summer of my youth in Starkville, my dad went to grad school there. My goodness...was a long freaking summer.

Can't decide which is the closest equivalent...Monroe, Ruston or Lake Charles.
