I think it is unwise to bet on a team you know little about. To date we have played a one team we over matched and another where we were overmatched. Let’s see what we do next week. After that it will be easier to bet on the Cajuns.
I do think we have another atrocious defense so maybe betting the over is the play.

The 3 weeks in a row of @App St, vs stAte, and @Troy scare me. If we lose those 3 also. Then that only gives us one game to play with if we want to be bowling. AND ______ I WANT TO GO BOWLING!!!!!
This is a foundation building year of a multi-year process. Half the starters tonight wouldn't see the field in three years if they were to still be here.

When Ragas and Mitchell are Seniors, the 1st, 2nd and 3rd string QB's at that point aren't even on campus yet.

This is a long ride. Sit back and chill.

Im disappointed that I couldnt watch the game on the day it was on actual TV - but I did listen on the 1420 app.

We got our asses handed to us which I kind of expected - but it sounded like the team played hard. We simply just need better talent, and that is going to take time.

Coastal will be a truer test of where we are at. G5 teams playing well-oiled SEC West schools are going to get soundly stomped 95% of the time. I do expect to be more competitive as Napier has a few recruiting seasons under his belt.

Good advice. My only concern moving forward is where are we going to find DLINE and Middle linebackers who can play against spread attacks. Our current group of interior lineman just don’t have the athleticism to do it and it is an incredibly difficult position to recruit.

I understand some of the points being made. I too wanted us to play better but I am encouraged by the effort. Napier told us 6 weeks ago this was the best team MSU had in years with 26 seniors. I am encouraged by Nunez he is a leader. Other than Alabama we should compete in the remaining games.

When I said half of the starters, I was thinking the entire defense.

Hud left a giant hole on that side that will take years to fix. Manac is a special player. I have full faith Nape will find sufficient numbers of special players to rectify this.

“Sit back and enjoy the multi-year ride.”

Just wait a couple of years for recruiting to bring in new talent.”

“MSU is a top 10 team.”

I didn’t really expect to see a win today but I am freakin’ tired of watching the Cajuns get absolutely throttled every time they step on the field with anyone above a Sunbelt team. With this being a nationally televised game it makes it even worse.

Other Sunbelt programs are playing competitive games or even pulling upsets against P5 competition. Louisiana is officially being left in the dust by not one or two, but many other Sunbelt football programs.

MSU could have hung 100 points on the scoreboard if they would have wanted to. I don’t care who the opponent is, giving up a TD every time the defense steps on the field in the first half is unforgivable.

Please stop putting Louisiana on the front of your uniforms...the fleur e leis are an absolute embarrassment to the state of Louisiana...it would be better to only shame the southwest part of the state and not the rest of us in the east and north...you hate us anyway so just stay usl from here on out!!!
