Long before the 2018 season started, Ragin’ Cajuns offensive coordinator Rob Sale vowed that UL’s tight ends would get their chances.

They’d be a bona fide threat in the Cajun offense, the first-year UL assistant suggested a day before preseason camp opened back in August.

“We ask them to block first,” Sale said, “but they get some freebies with nakeds and getting the quarterback on the edge and giving them the ball a little bit.”
