We stomped their ___ in baseball back in 2014, and we're gonna do it again. Final Score in this game, 19-11 (which is our runs scored vs theirs in the regional)
My gut says we cover, my heart says we win. Cajuns 24, Cowbells 21
True. Scott Farmer never consulted me on when I was available to make a Lafayette trip. Case in point, this weekend. I will be in Lafayette and the idiot schedules a game in Starkville. I am in Montgomery next weekend...why are we not playing at Troy? Do they not want me at the games? Anyway, Napier seems to be more receptive to working around my schedule and parking demands. I have extend an olive branch and will definitely be at next years Miss State game.

If we are within 2 TD's, Napier has done a masterful job. If we win this game, he might be hired away midseason. The talent discrepancy is very large. I don't see how we can contain their front seven. I think we struggle to run the ball, which turns us into a throwing team and that front seven can pin their ears back and come after the QB. I hope Sale and Looney prove me wrong.
We are smaller, slower and less experienced, not a good starting point.
How do we win?
1. At least +2 in the turnover battle and we probably need to have zero turnovers.
2. Ball control offense with short passes to move the chains and hopefully wear out their defense.
3. Played extremely disciplined defense on the read option and force their QB to beat us with his arm and not his legs.
4. Outscheme them. Would have been easier to do with Mullen there, but I believe Moorhead to be a very good coach, so this will be difficult to accomplish.
I will be glued to my TV watching the game and cheering my heart out, but our boys have a very difficult assignment this week.
