No facts. Just speculation on your part. Companies bring in outside talent all the time. Assistants buy in or move on. I’m not saying this is going to work, but we have the new hitting coach we all wanted. If you want to dissect a press release for what will happen next season....be my guest.

We all wanted Talbot to stay away from the hitters and all we got was an additional salary to pay

That ought to really light up this board. Now this is NU2ME!!!!!!!!
Pegged it to a T. They had a chance to calm the whole situation but chose to double down. This could probably rank as one of the worst press releases in this universities baseball history. Just why do it this way. Completely missed opportunity to start the fall on a real positive note, but NO.

Robe said this morning that he will be in the dugout. He can do everything except throw bp

This is a great move. Some people like to utilize hypothetical misinformation to stoke their doomsday prophecies. I prefer to deal in reality. Reality was we needed adjustments. Adjustments were made. Let’s go play ball now and see what happens.

Do you think coach Robichaux is more intent on fixing the hitting woes, or fixing JT's career?

Not misinformation if its from an official univ document

I think our Athletics Communications Department would have more knowledge of the situation than Kendall Rogers. With the heart burn Talbot caused last year I doubt they would even mention his name next to hitting if it was not 100% true .

I heard Robe say point blank that Jt will assist Wells.. That means Wells is the batting coach and Jt will play whatever role Wells allows. Robe don't micromanage so Wells can dictate whatever role Jt will play. Remember, when a state institution creates a position the position has to have enough stated responsibilities to justify the position. After hearing Robe i'm confident that Wells is THE MAN responsible for our batting average going forward.

Exactly what he wants protection for Talbot and additional 3 years where he does not have to change personal
