But the question is, are they co-hitting
coaches since JT is “assisting” in the hitting?
Ignore that press release. Jake Wells is the hitting coach, period. Talbot isn’t in charge anymore, period.

So that’s just there to feed the ego of a guy that shouldn’t be employed anymore? Sure seems like a bunch of smoke and mirrors for a guy that isn’t good at his job.

Did you read the title of the thread? It's a true statement.

I honestly don’t know why they are putting that statement out there, but I’m telling y’all, just like I’ve said all along, Talbot’s ideas are on the back burner and Jake Wells is THE man offensively in that dugout.

Matt, I trust Cajun T and he has said your a upstanding fella.. So you say Wells is the man and basically Talbot the "no hits"coach is a figure head?

I’ve been told, almost word for word, JT will not interact with the hitters in any significant way.

    Wells is in charge.

You along with the WORLD have also been told "word for word" (and not almost) that "Jeremy Talbot will assist with the hitters."

    So which one is it?

Jake Wells is the hitting coach. Talbot is not. There would be no point in hiring Wells otherwise.

Kendall Rogers had it right in his tweet. If our offense sucks next year, it won’t be because of JT.

As far as Bab, he will have the exact same job duties except he won’t be in the dugout.

This is my only concern. He will be third in command, but if he does his job well (similar to Deggs), they better shift that hierarchy real fast if they have any hopes of keeping him.

You are further confirmation.. Thanks Brother! Too bad our UL information people can screw up the narrative. Our sports Info person needs to fine tune.

So....the associate head coach, 2nd in command, highest paid assistant.... is not in the dugout. Interesting. Not sure I've ever seen an organization run that way

Definitely not normal. My question is, if Robe gets suspended or thrown out, does Bab come into the dugout as the “associate head coach”? I would think not. I’m starting to believe it is an empty title with higher pay.
