Prejean added to UL softball staff

Acadiana native Lacy Prejean is returning to the UL Ragin’ Cajuns Softball coaching staff as an assistant coach, head coach Gerry Glasco announced on Friday.

Prejean, from Carencro High and twice competed in the Women's College World Series with Alabama, was a member of Louisiana’s coaching staff from 2005-07.

why are coaches often in these operations position? i have worked in operations and have more experience in logistics. these sports related operations position seem more similar to logistics positions than to coaching.

There are three others coming to be on staff. One will be a graduate assistant, one the Director of Operations, the other the volunteer coach. The graduate assistant and volunteer coach will be here in January, the director should already be on campus.

All the coaches appear to be in the house. The volunteer may or may not be coming, if so then it will be in January. Ashly Pauly is the director of operations, she came from the same position at Louisville. Geri Ann Glasco is the graduate assistant.

I assume Ms. Glasco is related to the HC but is not subject to the nepotism law since she is a student. Not suggesting anything improper, just curious.

One of his daughters. I don't think the nepotism laws apply since this is an unpaid position.
