    Your correct.

Vegas, airports, festivals and sporting events are all doing this.

I was staying at NOLA Hilton Riverside for an event and I had to walk to the corner by Harrah's for pick up. At the airports drivers are instructed to a designated area which has numbered parking spots. Your driver arrives and text you the number of the parking spot.
I heard it was the compromise to the complaints of the taxi industry. Taxi's are still able to have free reign at these places.

Having the numbered stalls also prevents people from stealing your ride. Trust me, when people are at a large event and they are ready to go,they will confirm that their name is whatever the driver calls out and they are on their way. Total B.S.! I like the numbered spots. We should use 10 parking spots over by the Track/Soccer stadium as the UBER lot.

It would be nice not to have to walk to a stop light or any long distance from the stadium. Let the Uber drivers in the stadium/ drop the surge charges and have a permanent marked, covered pick up location right in front of the stadium. Heck they could use the bus stop pick up location that the student buses use. . . it would serve a dual purpose, encourage people not to drink and drive.

Does anyone know if the buses still run from campus to the stadium on game day?

Does the Uber driver have to pay $10 to enter and go through the parking area?

Is there some kind of Uber/Lyft pass?

Looks like most NFL teams are teaming with Uber/ Lyft to set up designated areas for pick up. A lot of college teams are doing the same. We need to get on board with this. Who do I contact?

This is becoming more common for sports stadiums to have designated pickup/drop off spots.
