Paid the same for a recent Astros game.

RP does good work again for the University. After reading this thread, parking passes will go to $180 and individual game parking to $30, thus tripling the revenue to the University.

Perhaps, but let's put this in context. I've paid $10 to park at a HS football playoff game before because the free lots were full. If someone wants to walk a 1/2 mile to save $10 dollars that's up to them. But sporting events that attract crowds will usually have parking venues that cost money.

I think you need free parking somewhere. Anything around Cajun field can be paid, such as Lite Center lot and Cajundome, but Bougeois and coliseum road should be free. I haven’t looked to see if it is. I have passes so it’s no concern to me

Everyone is now paying $10 bucks a game. $250 RCAF gets you the right to buy 2 passes at $60 bucks a piece. $10 a game. So new money for parking this year will be more than just the cars parking across the street.

I’m not a fan of the no cash to park policy. I guess I can see why, but I don’t have a credit or debit card. I live under a rock. I think your going to see some really long lines with these card swiping machines too.

If anybody knows you can’t have cash to park, it’s UL.

I wish I could be there this weekend but we are out of the country on vacation. Luckily, if I am able to attend any games this year, (and I hope to) I will be staying at Hilton Gardens Inn, which is where we usually stay in Lafayette or I will stay somewhere else and park at my daughters house just across the coulee bridge from the Cajun Dome. I don't mind paying the 10 clams, but it is nice not to get in traffic before or after the games.

I'll put parking pass out for bid and catch the bus to come.

Thread ending comment right here. Never thought of it from this perspective.

    Outstanding point.
