A simple google search will provide all the info you need but when the FBI says that AAU programs were used to steer high school athletes to colleges where they had shoe contracts I tend to believe them.

Eye-opening and heartbreaking that adults would use kids like this.

Very familiar with these. I thought you meant you had proof that P5 coaches will not recruit kids who's AAU club have different kicks their university. I don't doubt that this goes on and like you said its been proven but when kids of the caliber of those I mentioned come around, I don't think the university is worried about what shoes he wears in AAU.

The university isn't..... but the shoe company has invested heavily in the kids, and coaches know that if they are at an adidas school, nike will spend whatever it takes to protect their investment in nike AAU kids. And that adidas will do likewise to steer kids in adidas AAU programs to him.

It's not so much they wont recruit them, it is more that they will choose to invest in recruiting kids who will be more inclined to sign.

And I can understand your last statement which makes more sense. I know that the coaches will recruit the top players and the top players will go to the top programs presumably for much more than what shoe label is involved. I think coaches, facility and national exposure will play a larger role in that.

When mama is getting a five or six figure check from shoe manufacturer X you can bet she is going to be slapping jr. over the head and letting him know exactly which schools he will be entertaining for his services and it won't be schools that have contracts with shoe manufacturer Y.
