Well Mozart's 21st symphony is in A major, not C major, come on!
T , you are reaching big time in your defense of zoom. i personally dont think he needed one, but to address your points, the only thing that was clear, was her saying UL band selection is old and outdated. and because she first referenced Mozart , she then followed up with the men who wrote the constitution, which was in the same time period. as i said in a earlier response, it was a funny and cleaver tweet. as for white wigs and such, again those men who wrote the constitution style is old, and the constitution itself is old and outdated for 2018 untied states. thus its been ratified and amended since the original was written.
I'm constitutional conservative. I don't believe it needs to be updated for 2018 period. This country has had a history of self correcting from slavery, women's rights to civil rights. But had the ruling class lived by the very words in the Declaration of Independence, self correction would have never been necessary. We can debate this another day, but I cringed when I hear it needs to be amended. To what, for whom? Will we still have a Constitutional Republic or a Democracy? Questions for another day.
I didn't take it as a racial comment. People are so sensitive and PC these days.
I think we are now a representative democracy rather than a democracy or republic. The government has overstepped its bounds, as far as state rights go, too often to consider ourselves a true republic.
I believe the Constitution is a living document and can and should be amended, if needed. That's what the framers thought, obviously.
You put some thought to your reply and I appreciate that. All I saw was "wigs" old school, versus what's popular and nothing more. The choice of UL's music has been knocked for years on this forum and that was hilarious IMO. I just thought drumline, when I saw her comment. I have a feeling that UL's band will kick it up a notch this year and I'm looking forward to it.
You think or believe? State's Rights are concern when it comes to a strong centralized Government. But I prefer the ideal of a strong Constitutional Republic that defends the sovereignty of Americans against our Government and all international government bodies or organizations, and not some form of Democracy.
Nope, that is not what the framers thought. Nor is it obvious as you claim. This has and continues to be debated between Conservatives and Progressives almost daily.
......Just like the Bible, it is not what it says but how it is interpreted......although there are those with an original lean, there are as mentioned, methodologies for change......a classic nomination Is now present for the Senate to confirm.....obviously I haven't read all of his judgements but like very much of we what I have heard!!!
