I asked a ticket rep about it a few weeks ago and he said we hadn’t met last years total yet. That was before the flash sale tho.
That would be around 8,400.
Still better than last season, but still a lot of room for improvement.
High mark was 12000. Goal this year was 14000. Last year they sold less than 7000. The flash sales and the cajuns care donation program will help with the numbers this year. I don't know what the total will be but I am confident it will show an improvement. As far as things being less than last year, I would not be surprised if the renewal number dropped slightly as some of those were corporate purchases and despite the energy industry stabilizing, the economy here still does not match what it was 5 years ago. Many firms still looking at downsizing, especially if they rely heavily on Gulf of Mexico activity. Hard for that basin to compete with the land plays in West Texas.
Dont forget, companies can't write off these expenses anymore.....new tax code.
Everyone's feeling the pinch...NBA, NFL, NCAA
I think people are still in wait and see mode with Napier but those that are tuned it already know it will be better. Would be surprised if we don’t have 15,000 in season tickets sold in a few years.
