    Default Cajun Field Commuters Parking

I noticed this week as I drove by that the commuter students are parking on the west side closest to the Tigue and track. Many in the grassy tailgate areas. Anyone know if this is a permanent move? I could see a few days of pretty decent rains and we will be tailgating in mud and ruts. Any explanation on why the change? Will they still be there next week at tent set up time?

They made an announcement the week before school started that they would be moving student parking to the opposite side to where it picks up at the baseball field. I believe the main reasoning for this is to prevent issues with events at the Cajundome. I’ve seen a lot of students complain about it already. Some have said they had to wait an hour for a bus to show up and that lines are really long. I am thinking that they will have the same rules that they have had in the past where students have to leave by 5 pm on Friday to make way for tailgating tents/RVs.

Doesn’t school dismiss at noon on Friday? That shouldn’t cause an issue with tailgating set up.

Most classes do but there are still a few classes who have class later than that and some hang out on campus a little longer than usual but it all depends

What about mid week baseball games? Students are now parking in the lots that are A,B and C permitted. The buses run right through the parking lot. Are they gonna make the paying customer park on the west side of Cajun field? I am just not seeing why the need to change, and how it benefits the RCAF donors, tailgate spot and season ticket holders, for football and baseball.

If this is about Cajun Dome parking for weekday events, then just shift parking on those handful of days during the semester. Looks like overkill to me.

They will just flag off those area's like they use to do for RV parking on Fridays before gameday
