That's certainly a logical expectation based on last year's play and circumstances. To say our coaching staff was in total disarray and our team demoralized, is probably being kind. I believe we've got better players than last year's results showed, including at QB.
I expect good things out of this team, and most importantly, out of this coaching staff. Might take a few games to get all the kinks out.
I would agree we have better players than a 3 win team suggests and I agree that the entire team was in shambles last year but that includes the players as well. They were missing blocking assignments and defensive assignments ALL year. I know that everyone strikes that up as coaching but at some point players have to actually go out there and use their talent and prep to make plays and they weren't doing that. We are relying on a big portion of those same players. Now, fresh starts usually add focus and determination and I think there will be plenty of that moving forward but I don't know what to expect out of our QB's and O-Line and I'm completely worried about our defensive secondary at this point. Just don't see putting those types of numbers up early in the season with all those question marks.

We should win. That said, Rice needed a last play FG to beat a SWAC opponent...geesshhh, that’s some happy fans this AM.
