I see them at #29 in FCS (14 votes) Nicholls 17; MacNeese 18.

Yes but you can disguise a lot of blitz packages in that formation and they will put out a decent amount of speed due to more DB's. I think they are going to stack the box and dare us to throw the ball. It was our achilles last year, especially when getting pressure on the QB since our line was atrocious. I think we are going to have to be able to throw short and make plays like that as well as throw on the run.
I agree with this in general, but DBs aren’t talking Ragas. Unless you’re talking about gang tackling 15 yards down the field. According to some around the complex, the offensive line is going to be very impressive, especially the right side. I even heard Gerald say the right side of the line has 2 NFL players.
Well, that is the benefit of matching Ragas up to smaller players if he's able to get downfield. IF. I think what you are going to do is see them really bring a lot of these guys up to the line and attack it with blitzes and certain stunt schemes up front. I think the idea is to get to Ragas before he's able to gain steam and hit him early which allows team tackling. I suspect we could really get some favorable downfield matchups with some of our receivers if this is the case, we just have to recognize it and execute. I'm also very curious to see if we go back to the downfield jump ball passing game we were so poor at but so willing to continue trying the last two years.
I like Grambling to cover. UL wins 37-24
Do we know which players from the last recruiting class we are anticipating having the biggest impact?
My thought for today: Even if we can run successfully.....I hope we do pass the ball plenty enough to get each QB value added minutes. Our chances to have a 7-8-9 win season hinge on our QB's pass execution against better opponents.....running ball effectively against FCS is supposed to happen.
So IMO if 2 QBs are playing....let our QBs at the very minimum, attempt 15-20 passes each.
