Thread: Ohio State, Maryland remind Napier of many duties

  1. UL Football Ohio State, Maryland remind Napier of many duties

First-year Ragin' Cajuns coach Billy Napier is reminded there is much more responsibility than just winning football games.

    The article opens with this...

Making appearances at a grocery store throwing sponsorship money around.

►Taking time out of a busy schedule to have to talk to a booster club tinged with entitlement.

►Accommodating a media viewed as annoying and treated accordingly.

All negatives and have nothing to do with the core of the story...you and the rest of the crybabies in the area "media" get used to the idea that you are 4 or 5 notches down from what coach is used too in his previous stops..he has set the bar way above your pointed heads, either you get a clue, do your job, earn the man's respect or hand your press badge in...unbelievable...

Buckley’s negativity and poor writing has hit an all time low. I miss having a professional like Luke Johnson.

Yeah, it was pretty bad. The Daily Advertiser should be embarrassed. The sad part is he probably put effort into it. His Twitter feed is so lazy and half a**ed.I've seen better writing from a high school newspaper. Dont be surprised if my man T-Maggard demands changes or limits press availability until it gets better.

Most in media has turned into a self entitled giant whiny cesspool of human feces.

As bad as it may sound; ULM has an infinitely better beat writer at the News Star than we do at the local fishwrap.

Ragin' Cajuns Re: Ohio State, Maryland remind Napier of many duties

Frankly, in the 40+ years that I have followed the Cajuns closely, no journalist who has covered us has ever published an honest criticism of UL athletics, let alone one as well written, well researched and well balanced as the News Star article we are referencing. Any analysis done by our media has either been pandering to the University or just poorly written, usually both. Other than in cases of NCAA infractions, I can remember no articles asking tough questions about apparent shortcomings in the athletic department or the University as it relates to athletics.

Buckley sounds like a whinny kid who didn’t get invited to a party.
