Football Schedule

For those interested, I checked our football schedule to see how our opponents refer to us. Surprised at the results, particularly with some conference teams. 4 conference members do not refer to us Louisiana, Coastal, Ark State, GA State and ULM. While Miss state does call us Louisiana, Alabama does not. Perhaps someone from our Athletic Dept. can contact these schools and get our name corrected. No excuse for fellow SBC members.

Actually I had just checked ULM yesterday as I was curious how they would refer to us.was surprised that they didn't hyphenate us. Seems to me that we should be pushing back on ALL of our conference mates to refer to us as the name that the conference has agreed to. I would certainly hope that Maggard and Co. are at least working on those scholls to correct this.

UALR announces they're rebranding their athletic teams July 1, 2015 and they're all over that one.

You are correct, but I wish our AD would contact their respective AD's and the Conference Commish and get this straightened out. The same with Alabama. We will get a lot of pub for that game and hate to see the Louisiana Lafayette reference by them. A lost opportunity if not corrected.

Dont hold your breath. You can bet the LSU AD has had casual talks with the Alabama AD about this.

Agreed. This is likely a case of laziness more than anything else. Probably some student computer nerd put together the graphics and input opponent names. The AD hasn't even see the page on the internet and probably wouldn't have noticed if he had.
