We are a year removed from a last-second victory over less than stellar SLU with the roster issues we will need every break we can get this year.

Why did we hire a new coach? If we think he will do the same as the last one? 37 new players and an entire new staff. If he knew for sure whonthe starter was he would be an idiot to not let that guy get majority of first team reps. A lot of practices left until he needs to make a decision. He probably has an idea but better to let them keep fighting if it’s that close. I agree you take any advantage you can i just think the “element of surprise” is over blown outside of a specific trick play. By the way the coach with “element of surprise” and “hiding the starting QB” is who almost got us beat by SLU

You hire a new coaching staff on which to build your foundation on the previous staff's was about to crumble. As far as the 37 majority were PWO's and won't see much action we still have the lowest number of scholarship players since Bustle 1st year. Napier will right the ship, but we will struggle year 1 that's to be expected.

Just as with huds first year i think you will be surprised what buy in, hard work and effort can do. Back to my original statement, Napier doesn’t appear to be a mind game/tomfoolery coach. All he talks about is the process and control what you can control...which has nothing to do with what the outside thinks.

Probably haha..Napier seems very big on the message, something i don’t think Hud was very good at understanding. If you are hiding your starter in hopes of “confusing” Grambling, what message does that send to your players about their ability to win that game? The players stopped believing in Hud because he stopped believing in them with all the bullsht he would do or say.

Both may play, but I do not foresee a dual quarterback system.

I'm hoping with all I'm worth that you're wrong about our starter. Nunez isn't a starter IMO. So if he is the starter we have no qualified starter.

He's going to go with the senior who can spin it and distribute the ball.
