I think it's irrelevant if we scan tickets, tear tickets or manually count people in the stadium. It's been pointed out that the system used by schools to announce attendance is terribly flawed and everyone seems to use their own method. Unless everyone is counting exactly the same, which will never happen, then the results are useless and what are we arguing about? Does it really matter if another school is touting a bigger attendance than ours but the method is questionable at best?
As far as I'm concerned everyone's attendance figure should have an asterisk next to it so the nation knows not to believe any of them.
Falsifying attendance for the purposes of stats is weak sauce. Your actual attendance equates to ticket sales, concession sales, your fans socializing and bonding, and your team having the visual and sound proof of a real fan crowd.
You won't get 25,000 for a game the rest of the year....Grambling and Southern are a draw...especially at halftime...aftewr an a_ _ spanking by a real football team (Miss. State) from a real football conference (SEC)...the coastal crowd will be 20,000 at best...with about 15,000 butts in the seats...there were only about 22,000 butts visible last sat night...the rest were ghosts of seasons past
