Someone made the point of it being labor day weekend, that will kill off a bunch of students who have to get home to see mommy after a week or so away from home...maybe a top 5 list of reasons "I can't make the game" and another top 5 of why you can and will make the game...

I'm not sure Grambling will travel quite as well as Southern did. However, Coach Broderick Fobbs has done a remarkable job of reviving the Grambling football program. Probably not since the days of Eddie Robinson has the Grambling fan base been so excited and engaged. Therefore, I think they will bring a better crowd to Cajun Field than they may have just a few short years ago. We will see!

But we do know they will travel better than El Aye Tech and ULM!!!! LOL!!!!

I absolutely care zero about how Tech or Tulane or McNeese or anybody is doing. I don't care about LSU either although they are in your face being on TV during the season so you know what's going on there but I could care less about their success. And no, I'm not lying.

Or after 3 poor seasons in a row, they don't care as much. We've never had a great student turnout although there was a time with Hud that it improved drastically but time will tell how good the turnout is.

Students are the only people who celebrate Labor Day? Interesting

Trust me Grambling fans are coming to this game!
It’s also the first time we have ever played Grambling in football, so there should be a good amount of fans.

Good Lord, Boomer. One would hope that after the secondary sexual characteristics kicks in, college students wouldn't hold on to high school romances

Doubt they will bring 16.5 like Atlanta. A lot of Grambling alumni and/or their extended families already live in the ATL so it's sort of a homecoming. I do know Iberia parish GSU fans will be well represented. They don't number as much as Opellousas Southern fans (SU had scandal where they basically handed out diplomas for cash creating an inflated alumni base from St. Landry parish), but they do have a loyal base in New Iberia, Jenerette and Franklin. They'll bring a several thousand and will be loud.

I'm going to revise my guesstimate since I've come to realize this game will be played on Labor Day weekend. I think we'll see a crowd of around 20,000. Lots of people will be at Orange Beach or Grand Isle.

Not buying it...maybe hundreds, not thousands..no, UL football and what it delivers needs to be a priority to its fans, die-hard, casual, and students alike. Important enough to move to the top of the priority list, Regardless of who the opponent is. Until that happens, and it needs to happen soon, UL football attendence will continue to run second or below on the priority list behind another trip to Grand Isle, birthday partys, bridge club tourneys, fishing, squirrel hunting, duck hunting, weddings, on and on...how do you think some schools get away with charging huge bucks for tailgate etc?
Because at those schools, fans pay the freight, because its important to THEM

You realize a lot of people take their families on getaways for Labor Day? Who are you to decide what should be people’s priorities? If it’s your priority that’s great, but why does it bother you who else is there? I have never understood this, do you go to enjoy the game yourself? Or to see the people?
