Just found out Mason Templet suffered a shoulder injury during the summer and is probably done with baseball. Tough break for the young man. If this is the case the best of luck to him in the future.

An injury last summer that required surgery is what ultimately landed him at LSUE. If true I'm sure it has to be very frustrating for him. Best of luck.

Injuries are the most frustrating part of sport. And for an injury to be this impactful for him to contemplate hanging it up has to be so disappointing for the kid. It’s one thing to go thru the suck of rehab....it’s a totally different suck to have to hang it up. Hope the best for the kid

Must have been a non-baseball injury. Difficult to believe with all the medical technologies these days, that a baseball-playing injury cannot be treated back to 100%.

From what I was told the injury would take about 2 years to fully recover. He decided to be just a regular college student.

Confirmed that this is in fact accurate and he is DONE with baseball. Very unfortunate with the year he had this year. Nice kid, great athlete. Oh well.

Playing fall ball, then a full season of college ball then summer ball is a lot for your body to take. Personally, I think that’s too much. Body doesn’t have a chance to rest and heal.
