    Default Scrimmage Information

What time is the scrimmage and is there any interviews scheduled after it?

It’s happening sometime this evening and there’s no media availability but I’d expect them to have a press release after.

With the rain, I suspect they had to use the indoor facility to hold the scrimmage. Some fans may have tried to sneak it had it been held at the stadium but I doubt that was possible. Maybe next week.

I don't get it...the program, as far as I can tell, had a well attended fan day, you've created some fan excitement, at least for one day..important scrimmage that evening, yes, closed to fans and press. You have a chance to build on the excitement and interest, have a presser so the Sunday print and electronic media can get stories out (Sid too) to build on a successful Saturday...instead the program drops back to USL form, has no presser, has no Sunday stories, momentum from fan day has gone buhby...and again, I hate to make this comparison, but State U had a first scrimmage too, no press or fans, but a presser afterwards with the O, Glen Guilbeau has a full rundown and take on the scrimmage without even witnessing it...hey when will UL get it? You have to create the attention, interest, desire to make UL football important enough for folks to pay attention and want, want, want, to be a part of the cULture...that my friends was a huge fail!

You’re going a little overboard. First off Orgeron will be canned at the end of this season after losing 4 games. So don’t compare this staff to LSU.

Secondly, no one in the country is expecting much out of this team. There is no reason to give them any info on how things are going. Let all that stuff show the first week of September.

This staff has essentially adopted the Saban process, trust the process because it has proven to be successful. It has worked everywhere.

This staff is limiting distraction for the players and installing a system for this program. Not just a playbook, but a whole different approach to the way things are done. They need to focus on that. Once they buy in and grasp that then we will be very happy with the results.

You mean the point about building excitement? It’s a scrimmage, the first one. It’s very limited in scope and it won’t resemble what we will see during the next scrimmage. Which will be the most game like scrimmage that we have during fall camp. The final scrimmage will be all about depth chart battles and who to redshirt.
