We were also a train wreck last season with a staff who couldn't coach. Yet we still won 5 games and were in position to win 7 but blew two games South al and NMSU.

There is talent in this program. Discipline, conditioning and an actual game plan will win us at least 6 games. I think coaching will win us an additional 2 more.

We beat South Alabama and NMSU last year. We blew the ULM game last year by not paying attention to detail on a fake point and not going for two late in game. The Georgia Southern game was one we were also not prepared for. The previous season we lost OT games to Tulane and NMSU.

You’re right. I still stand by my statement though. We coached our way out of 7 wins.

This season...7&6, including a bowl win...team gets better as season goes on, finish with a 4 game winning streak.

2019..9&5, cajuns blow bowl game against a p5 school, start season off at 5-0

2020...12&1...Nearly run the table, beat s P5 bowl team..all done with Napiers players, finish season ranked 21st

2021...UL searches for next head coach

This right here would be the best realistic case scenario.

I’ll take it. Only change I’d make is:

2021...UL gives Coach Napier a lucrative extension as he continues on the path of becoming the next Gary Patterson. One can dream right?!

Double digit wins and a national ranking....checkbooks will be out.

We had enough on the roster last year to go 7-5 with somewhat adequate in-game coaching, despite being out of shape and having a terrible #cULture.

I'd be shocked if we didn't find 7 regular season wins.

And ULM and wet the bed against a Ga Southern team whose coach was coaching in his like 2nd ever game, because they sucked so bad they couldn't wait till the end of the year to fire him. 2 of those 4 and you're 7-5 and we're not even talking about #cULture.
