Thread: Student Fee for football

  1. Default Re: Student Fee for football

Academically speaking: Students who regularly attend sporting events become the schools biggest financial supporters for decades to come.

Any student fee assessed for athletics will simply remove the burden from the university. The transfer from the university will be reduced to assist the academic side.

Surely our athletic department can put together a marketing plan designed for the students showing them what the final product will look like, what our ultimate goal is, what impact this will all have on the perception of the university and on their degree, what it will mean to future students and later to them as alumni. Have multiple rally's with the AD, football coach and president making make contact with all students with beer and crawfish. Have the athletes lobby the students to support this. Have The Vermillion and the Advertiser right articles in support of this. Don't just throw this out for a vote. Have our ducks in a row athletically and academically and get this passed. It is too important for the future of the university. We have many resources at our disposal to influence the outcome if done right.

Sure, that will. Beer and crawfish, that's the ticket...using the app state model your asking for $800 a year per full time student, or $3200 for a 4 year amount...rounded of course...lets add that to the financial aid costs..hello FAFSA?

I never said $400 per semester per student. Up to the university as to the correct amount needed and what they think can be approved.
