Doubtful.... This was Napier’s nice way of saying we aren’t very deep and need to recruit more talent.

I watched an ESPN interview with coach Saban last night. He used the exact phrase "play winning football". I think coach Napier has picked up more than a few things from his stops in Bama.

We don’t have the talent to perform to the level that Napier wants us to perform at. But we do have the talent to win 7 or 8 games.

We just have to win the games we are suppose to win every single season. FCS, ULM, South Al, TxSt, NMSU, Coastal and GaSt. That is 7 wins right there. Upset one of stAte, Troy or App St and we are at 8 wins.

Once we reach the level of play that Napier expects out of this program then we will expect to win 9-11 games each season. If HCBN stays around for 4 or 5 years and recruits like he has this season we will be staring at NY6 bowl games.

Not sure if our talent is up to 7 or 8 wins, even if the coaching proves to be much better. Maybe I will be surprised, I wouldn't mind that at all. Everything else I agree with.

Well the o/u is 4.5, and I have very strong rooting interest in getting to 5 wins ... Let's Geaux Cajuns.

We were able to win 5 games last season with no defense. I expect to be much better on defense, barring injuries. The only problem is we will be underdogs against ULM, Troy, App. State on the road and Ark. State at home. Obviously we need to win a few games that we will not be favorites going in.

I know what I’m looking for on the field. Doesn’t necessarily involve wins but I think we will win our share of games, mostly based on my belief for years that good coaching will win be default in this league.

For the love of God, can The Advertiser not see the glaring grammar mistakes in that article? Let alone the title? What a joke.

“Needs more players that can playing winning football” among others. Reminds me of those cat memes, “I can has food?”

My five or Grambling, Coastal Carolina, Texas State, New Mexico state and either south Alabama or ULM
