UL 'needs more players that can playing winning football'

Wouldn't be surprised if we see over half of the Game 1 starters replaced during course of the season as Coaches seek players that will play their brand of winning football. Of course there's always injuries to deal with, too. Will be very interesting to watch this year.

Doubtful.... This was Napier’s nice way of saying we aren’t very deep and need to recruit more talent.

I watched an ESPN interview with coach Saban last night. He used the exact phrase "play winning football". I think coach Napier has picked up more than a few things from his stops in Bama.

We don’t have the talent to perform to the level that Napier wants us to perform at. But we do have the talent to win 7 or 8 games.

We just have to win the games we are suppose to win every single season. FCS, ULM, South Al, TxSt, NMSU, Coastal and GaSt. That is 7 wins right there. Upset one of stAte, Troy or App St and we are at 8 wins.

Once we reach the level of play that Napier expects out of this program then we will expect to win 9-11 games each season. If HCBN stays around for 4 or 5 years and recruits like he has this season we will be staring at NY6 bowl games.

I know what I’m looking for on the field. Doesn’t necessarily involve wins but I think we will win our share of games, mostly based on my belief for years that good coaching will win be default in this league.
