Thread: Napier's first media day 'polite, restricted'

  1. UL Football Napier's first media day 'polite, restricted'

Usually it’s the first chance that creates a lasting impression.

In this case maybe UL deserves a second chance.

An initial preseason football press conference with the new Cajuns’ coaching staff was at best unusual and at worst disappointing. Hopefully the type of press conference the Lafayette-area media attended at Cox Athletic Building on Thursday won’t set a precedent for the remainder of 2018.

Writer must have trained at CNN. Negative spin throughout.

Like most "journalists" he wanted to dictate the course of the interview, and was disappointed and somewhat snarkey when Napier and crew were focused, organized and disciplined; sort of like we want coaches and soldiers to be. That reporter wouldnt be invited to a second Nick Saben interview.

So he's complaining that there is structure with this staff? No ra-ra type interviews is a problem for him. Oh well. Bye Felicia.

Fake news. If only most journalists could think like most Americans then we might respect them more. They are always looking for bombshell news everyday and hate the normal going through the motions. Most people don’t even watch news or read newspapers anymore. They just read headlines online and skim through the articles.

That’s because media thinks they are entitled just like fans think they are entitled to info. Glad it was like it was. Sucks to be them.

Where can I watch the conference? Trying to navigate the Ragin Cajun site is a joke Why do they have the meetings at the cox center? Didn't they build a nice auditorium in the APC for that purpose?
