Times they are changing.... Go sit in section A at a baseball game and watch someone walk into the stadiume wearing that god-aweful purple and gold....

What is really changing is people are no longer afraid to voice their hatred of a&m@br... I've been doing it for years but now it is becoming common place...

It may take a generation, but as we progress... and we are, as we separate...and we are, as students become grads who see a&m@br as not the only game in town, things will change.... Unfortunately there will always be a sizable portion who "love da tigggers cause my daddy luved da tigggers" but the proportion is moving in our direction

Which is why the recent initiative by T Joe to renovate and greatly increase the amount of on-campus housing is such a very important issue: there are lots of studies that prove students who have on-campus living experiences are far more loyal and invested (RE: donate more $$$) into their alma mater than those who do not. I really think this has been a huge issue for us, as so many in the past just wrote us off as a 'commuter college.'
Our goal of getting to a capacity of 5K on-campus beds will be met by the time the latest project on Lewis St is finished.
BTW, here are the latest ariel pics of that project recently posted on the "Developing Lafayette" webpage:

More of a failure to win games while they were in school, imo. People love a winner. Most of us on here, thankfully, are loyal to OUR school more so than simply wanting follow a winner.

Never thought about it much but would have to agree. I lived on campus, or right off campus in an apartment, the entire time I was in school and sure felt more bonded to the campus than I probably otherwise would have if I had been making a 40 mile roundtrip commute each day back to the parent's pad.

Imagine the impression it made on me sitting in Blackham Coliseum as a freshman watching Bo Lamar et al slice and dice the competition in 1971. Also attended the first game held at Cajun Field where we shutout Santa Clara.

Noticed ull is not playing TECH anytime soon....could it be that the fleur de leis are running scared of the DOGS...if the last 2 games were any indication I'd be afraid...I'd be very afraid too!!!
