Who would Compare UL Football like to see UL compare to in the next few years. There are a few Football programs over the past years that have established themselves. UCF Knights, South Florida Bulls, Boise State Broncos, University of Houston Cougars or Memphis Tigers

All of those teams have won big games. Can we put 50 points on tech bf we can try to be any one of those?

Well, since we don't have a game scheduled with Tech in the next 7-8 years, can we have a different measuring stick?

None of those schools have one of the top P5 programs in the nation a little more than 50 miles from their campus. That makes our situation more challenging. Answer to the question I would provide is UCF. They just went undefeated, beat a team that surprised Alabama in their bowl game, and found a way to declare themselves national champions. Now they are a school with a huge student population due to being in ever expanding Orlando. Still, good example to pattern ourselves after.

I would compare us to the following schools right now:

Arkansas State
Troy
App State
Coastal
USA
Georgia Southern
Georgia State
ULM
Texas State

Start winning on a consistent basis inside and outside the conference and we will no longer be comparable to these schools and start comparing ourselves with the leaders of the other G5 conferences.

If we continue to get commits like this and not lose them to P5 programs you will see a Boise St type dominance when we play G5 programs. To go along with a few P5 upsets.

If we can consistently sign 12-15 of the top 50 athletes out of Louisiana we will be very very good.

We are a pretty long way away from signing the 12-15 of the top 50 in Louisiana. LSU is averaging 12 from LA top 50 over the last 3 years.

UL is at 4 right now. 7-8 would be an A ... 9+ would be an A+.

How about we just compete in the worse conference in the country on a consistent basis, then win the worst conference in the country on a consistent basis, then have a P5 win or two... all the while continue to build our brand, facilities, war chest, etc. THEN the sky's the limit...
