Cajundome director Greg Davis retiring after 33 years of service

hockey put the Cajun dome in the green. Interest died and Greg pumped up rent. Never been a fan of him as the director or as an "activist." I'm sure he's a great man otherwise. Good riddance.

I don’t think it is normal for acts to play back to back shows at arenas that are that close to each other.

Shreveport probably has it a little easier because there are no arenas within 3 hours of it.

I believe one of the issues is that many arena's (most in Louisiana) are handled by the same third party management agency. It allows them to put together package deals with artist etc. One stop shop type of thing.

No doubt we can do better however.

I get it and understand but it seems to me like Shreveport and Baton Rouge beats us to the punch.

The racetrack thing was a shick. Casinos attract people who will stay as an association with event planning. Much easier to market Casino and a concert than racing and a concert, I believe. Besides, GD has been difficult to deal with for years.
